1st of May, Tues: As I learn more about the teaching profession, I am starting to regret entering into this field. Many people admire the salary teachers in Malaysia get. Teachers are paid much higher than many other fresh graduates and the number of holidays they have annually totally outnumber the holidays of the office workers. I would say the above are the two major factors why many fresh graduates from other fields and also school leavers have decided to venture into the teaching profession. However, these are only the surface of the profession. Once you step into the ‘trap’, you can’t even wait to run for your lives! You face never-ending noises, troublemakers and challenges once you step into the school compound. Other than that, you also have to look out for the ‘cat’ who would pounce on you abruptly and nail down all your weaknesses. Think that’s the end of your life as a teacher? NO! Let me tell you one more disaster which I’ve just learnt today…

Nowadays, more and more married couples have decided not to have children. Instead, they prefer to have pets are their ‘children’. Not only that, they can have more than one pet at the same time. This trend has become a popularity in a few developed countries such as Japan and Singapore. In these countries, people are too busy working and have no time for having children. Besides, the living expenses are also very costly. Therefore, many people have chosen to keep pets, such as branded cats and dogs, to keep them company.

It’s getting more common that pets are taking over the place of children. However, there’s another more touching story. A funeral was carried out when a dog passed away. A neighbour who was unable to attend the funeral came and sent his condolences for the death of the dog. Isn’t it getting more and more ridiculous? And another thing is, there’s even kindergarten for pets in Japan! I’m sure many of us have heard of sending pets for grooming, for cutting nails and wear clothes, but…for them to study? Moreover, it costs a considerable sum of money! In these kindergartens, the pets learn how to use and flush the toilets! Isn’t this amazing? Of course, they also learn many other skills and tricks and to be obedient to the owners’ orders.

Last but not least, Japanese love soak in hot springs. Therefore, there’s also a service for their pets at the hot springs. Don’t you know that, pets can show you their faces too when they are ill-treated?

Just not long ago, the tragedy that took place on 16th April 2007, it’s the sole incident that involves the most number of people in America’s history. There were a total of 32 students and lecturers killed mercilessly by a bloody and senseless killer, a Korean student, Seung-Hui Cho, whom in the end also shot himself to death.

This case has not only horrified the whole America, but also throughout the whole world. After the disaster, the society of America agreed in accordance that the over-general usage of machine gun in their culture is one of the major causes of disaster within school compounds. Therefore, there’s a debate over revising the rules and regulations of possessing machine guns.

Lets take an overview of the whole world, no matter it’s the import and export of machine gun trading, the number of guns within America, the number of people who possess guns and also the number of people who died from gun shots, these numbers are all higher than the other 9 industries; the top in the list.

It’s not a surprise if the number of people who possess gun is more or less the same compare to the number of people who die due to gun shots. Other countries such as Sweden, France and Finland, the ratio are all close behind America. Almost 5 out of 100millions people die averagely due to gun shots. Read the rest of this entry »

I was borned in a small town called Sibu located at East of Malaysia and I’ve seen quite a number of car evolution in my life. In fact, I myself had involved in some modification though. Shyness is personality trait, not a psychological disorder, and it has varying degrees. According to Salih Ozgul, a clinical psychologist at the Australian National University’s Psychology Clinic in Canberra, there’s a clear distinction between shyness and social anxiety disorder. “Shyness becomes a problem when it causes great distress and life disruption, such as the person having problems making and sustaining relationships.”
