How to do the S.M.A.R.T self-test?

1. After restart, bring out the application for the first time and run through O&O Registration Wizard. Fill in the blanks with details which has already sent into your mailbox from O&O admin.
   
2. Right click > S.M.A.R.T > Start detailed S.M.A.R.T self test; to run a full inspection or choose to do a quick inspection if you wish to.



3. It shows how old is your hard disk by clicking ‘Show detail’ from Running time and the model together with serial number of your hard disk.

As expected, to perform a S.M.A.R.T inspection on 80GB hard disk with 1.25GB Memory RAM speed needs about 45 minutes to finish.
After all, I ran a little experiment which keep my laptop running on for whole day likes playing game, blogging, internet browsers and so forth. The temperature of the hard disk is at 107°F. Now, I let the cooling pad start working under my laptop for about 10 minutes. The temperature slowly cooling down to 95°F. And this is the reason to get a cooling pad for yourself.
