Lunar Real Estate: Buy A Piece of Moon and Star

“Honey, what would you like for your present? I can get you anything to prove my love!”
“Oh really?? I want something in the sky!”
“Sure!”
Or some would ask like this, “What do you buy the person who has everything for Christmas?”, “How about a slice of Moon from your local supermarket?”
Or this “The world is ending, let’s move to the Moon!” Click to enlarge the image
This used to be a stupid conversation from a romantic story by owning a piece of star or moon far away from the earth could probably be real? Later, the lovesick person surfed through the internet devoted to winning the heart of the beloved one hoped to get the “romantic” gift, then I said, “Come on, please wake up!”
IÂ have watched a Taiwan comedy show few days ago that someone or some companies are actually selling the land of moon and you will own a piece of “Cert” as a proof for the land??? “The Signs of the Times and the End of the Age” Mathew 24 Prediction quoted in the Holy Bible responded by the Lunar Salesman, “I can give an acre of Moon!” A saying comes across my mind in the next minute, “there’s a sucker born every minute”. Have you ever heard of Lunar Real Estate so far? No, for Christ sake! They are not selling you a star or moon, but they are just giving the rights to name a star and a portion of moon. For those who swear for the first and wish for it, there is always someone out there who love to take advantage on you.
The Lunar Embassy then began selling lots of land on the Moon, Mars and other planets. The lands are measured in secras cost 19.95$ plus 1.95$ lunar tax. Is this a hoax!? The www.moonshop.com is doing pretty good business over the internet which will provide buyers with a map and the lunar constitution. A flag of their property will be placed on somewhere the Moon. Is it legal of this business? That’s still up in the air, but I wouldn’t hold a breathe for getting money from NASA for that rental space where the flag is.
The official organization which hands out names for astronomical bodies is the International Astronomical Union, located at Harvard, they are the respected authorities known around the world. They do not sell the star names, nor naming them after your loved one. All official star maps are based on names and numbers assigned by the IAU, no other names are regconized, whereby, there is no laws which prevents another company to sell someone a name for the star.
A spokeman of that “company” said, “Owning an acre of Moon is just like owning a star. You can’t touch or see it, but it’s yours to keep!”
John Tate, Armagh Planetarium declared, “I don’t think anybody has a claim to any bit of the solar system.”
So, do you still want a piece of Moon and star? Well, the choice lies in your hand.
