Photobucket Launched Group Albums Sharing Feature

Today’s Photobucket finally launched a totally new feature sponsored by Sony - Group Albums. Group Albums giving people an entirely new way to create and share photos and view digital media just in one convenient profile on the popular Photobucket site which can be password protected and moderated by the Group’s owner. Group Albums will support sharing via emailed invitations and RSS feeds, and will allow an album’s contents to be presented in a slideshow. Each album will have a maximum size of 1GB.

How it works?

1. Register and login personal Group Albums

2. Fill in the blanks accordingly and note that the specific custom URL can be provided on the link that you wished to send away.

3. Confirm it next step to invite people those you wished to share with from your own bundled Yahoo! Mail, AOL Mail, MSN Hotmail and Gmail’s contacts.

4. When finished uploading image, name the title of each image and description it or even can click to add tags!

Limitation

  • Storage of 1GB sharing album for each group is quite likely not enough for high quality images.
  • The newly launching feature may seems quite handy for Photobucket users while similar features have been on social networking sites like Facebook for years.
  • Interference ads on just right beside the uploading feature is quite not suitable.
