Don’t throw away your old notebook just yet. I discovered a way out to help your old notebook work better than before. I don’t dispute that Vista is a hugely demanding operating system. Although your notebook may have a fast enough processor – 800MHz is the minimum speed required – you’re likely to be much happier if you upgrade the memory to 1GB. Vista consumes swathes of hard disk space too. And, if you want to take advantage of all those swish graphics effects, you’ll need a relatively modern graphic card.

I can help you to upgrade most parts of your notebook but there isn’t much I can do when it comes to graphics. Fortunately, however, the swish video effects isn’t the most important part of Vista. What I can do is upgrade my memory, optical drive and hard disk, plus add faster wireless, USB, FireWire and even phone capabilities. I can even replace my screen and processor too, but this is not advisable after considering the price cost.

We always encounter this the same problem when trying to download the movie and ‘wishing’ that the movie we have in the seed is the real copy. If you are wondering the movie you are currently downloading is not a real copy or the crystal clear version, besides relying on the genuineness comments file, you can just simply open the movie file with RAR Player to take a peek on some of the preview part before you could have just wasting time downloaded completely.

If you have a new laptop with Vista installed and want to install XP as well, as there are some programs that won’t run with Vista at the moment which you still need to run. I believe there are some people facing this kind of problem quite frequently. Well, it is possible to dual-boot, or even triple-boot, Vista and other Windows operating systems. But, note that you need to install in the oldest operating system first. Thus, you could theoretically install Windows XP, Windows Server 2003 and Windows Vista in that order, and all would be well – obviously, each OS would need its own partition.

In this case, with Windows Vista already installed, you can either blow the installation away, install XP, leaving part of the hard disk as free space to be formatted and used by Vista when you install that, or you could try to install XP while Vista is already installed, but I don’t really recommend that since you probably won’t have two partitions.

If you do go ahead anyway, what you’ll discover is that when your system restarts you’ll have lost access to Vista. This is because Vista uses a different Boot Configuration Database (BCD) store. When you install XP, the setup program overwrites the Master Boot Record (MBR), the boot sector and the boot files.

HASTA LA VISTA – BABY!

Interestingly, you can actually recover from this. You need to restore the Vista MBR and transfer control to its boot code. To do that, take a look at this Microsoft Knowledge Base article and follow the steps outlined there. So you are flying solo now at Windows Vista no longer start.

This is a tough work to go through all these freeware(s) so people won’t have to googling around for what they looking for. Still remember the days back in Malaysia, a country full of illegal copies everywhere crowded by people picking up any softwares easily with really cheap price. Or there are some websites providing a crack for software that even cost you none at all to give a full version function. But, there are a lot of freeware provided and worked fine for me so far comparing to those trial version softwares or struggling to find a cracked-version. Nevertheless, I’m not saying that all these below can feed everyone’s satisfaction but just a piece of sharing.
