MSNShell as a support to Windows Live Messenger and MSN, provides many kinds of expansion services and the function free enhancement package. The following will be showing what’s more in Shell, such as: Second layer password protected, group messaging and screen capture which I mostly work on.

Messenger Shell enables the second layer password protected to secure your IM from other people hover into it. Instead of totally logged out Messenger when you are not in front of the screen, you can now protecting it with this feature.
How to lock?
* Open up WLM, click on Shell > Lock, enter the Password to encrypt it
* When the password been locked, close WLM

* Once the person who wish to open your WLM, a Locked display will show up

When you wish to send a simple message but to several users at one time, this group messaging will do it for you.

How to group messaging?
* Click on Shell > Group message

* Check the boxes of the users you wish to send message, and also to the offline users by enabling “Send message to offline…”

Sometimes you wish to describe what’s on your screen when chatting with a person but just can’t find the specific words, then forget it! Just capture it!
How to capture screen?
* In the Instant Messaging windows, click on Shell > Capture screen.

* Simple features been included in editing after “region” capture.
